What's included?
The session
1 hour session for baby, parents and siblings. With a focus mainly on mum and baby. A gently guided session that captures them and their freshness exactly as they are. Perfect if they are awake, asleep, feeding or having a nappy change.
In home or at the hospital
We can we can tailor your session to exactly what you'd like it to be. Either in hospital or maybe you had a home birth or left hospital early and would like it in the comfort of your own home?
What to wear?
I recommend having an outfit that you're comfortable in, that's postpartum and breastfeeding friendly (if you choose to breastfeed). Something that you're happy to wear in the photos. For baby I recommend having them in a nappy and wrapped so we can unwrap them and capture their belly button, little toes and showing some skin.
Your super fresh session
Typically held within the first 48hours of having your baby (or within the first 5 days depending on my availability and your recovery). It's the next best thing to birth photography, capturing them so fresh during the blur of those early postpartum days. The moments you don't want to forget.
I have experienced how incredible and life changing birth really is, I have a few photos of me holding Blair skin on skin with the hospital wrap and it is one of my favourite photos of us. It takes me right back to that moment, a feeling like no other. Proud, happy and very emotional.
These sessions are gently guided and are more raw and documentary style. I want to capture them exactly as they are. Think nappy on, loosely wrapped in a baby blanket and picture them resting on your lap. I want to capture their belly button, those tiny toes and their smoochy little lips.
It still blows my mind that we can grow these tiny humans. I would be extremely honoured to be invited into your newborn bubble be that at home or in Wairau hospital. No fuss just me and my camera next to a window that provides natural lighting.
These sessions are available on week day mornings at 10am.
